HAPPY HOLIDAYS - CLASSES RESUME Thursday January 2.

*ZOOM - TUESDAY - 4 - 5:30 pm - zoom only - mixed level - EGYPTIAN DANCE - INSIDE OUT - You will learn the history and hear, see and dance how Egyptian dance has changed through the ages. Back in the day we called it beledy. PLUS we will also also touch on the Golden Age, tarab, folkloric and the baladi taqsim, break down the structure, the movements, the rhythmic and melodic progression and more. In other words, we may do anything Egyptian. I like to teach using the music and rhythm as the main tool - not drill unrelated dance steps. I like to discuss concepts and trends, encourage discussions and often show video examples. This is a small on-going class and I encourage discussions in analyzing whatever - from trends to … I love to take requests on working on specific subjects so class agenda often changes at a moment’s notice.

** IN PERSON - THURSDAY - 6 - 7 pm - in studio - DRUMMING AND MUSIC ANALYSIS FOR DANCERS - Special class for dancers who want to go that extra mile and really learn the music. - please reserve if not an on-going student. No class 2nd Thursdays of the month.

** IN PERSON - THURSDAY - 7:30 - 9:30 pm - in studio - INT/ADV LEVEL- Performance - please reserve if not an on-going student. EVERY second Thursday of the month Performance class is MOVED to Pena Pachamama 1630 Powell in North Beach SF. Class begins at 6:30 pm. Class is taught on the stage and then we have live music with the Georges Lammam Ensemble and you may sign up to perform. Class and show $20 cash only. This is a restaurant, so please plan to order something to eat or drink also.

**Because my studio is small, I need to know how many will attend each class so I require confirmation before each class. NO Drop-ins

From basic technique to any level and/or Coaching - Private lessons are especially good for working on basic technique and drills, working on specific projects such as performance, choreography and/or musical interpretation of specific pieces or learning how to dance with cymbals.
