What does Dall3a  mean?  When asking an Egyptian (or Arab) they will say that there is no English equivalent, however it can mean coquettish, flirtatious, attractive, 

--  I say like Betty Boop.

It can be sweet and demure, but also shy and mischievous, or maybe childlike or sensuous but not overtly sexual. It can be many things. 
What dancers have Dall3a    --- Taheyya, Hayatem, Sohair...
It may be a dying dance style, though it is enshrined in many songs and videos.    The  cultural mannerisms of Dall3a  in dance may soon be lost as today's dancers are following the lead of slick Eastern European gymnastic choreographies. 
Dall3a is a feeling that comes from within.  It is rooted in Middle Eastern culture and the relationship and interaction between the sexes  It is not a memorized movement but rather a natural reaction, look or gesture.  How does one acquire Dall3a? 
It’s a matter of understanding the culture. In dance that means understanding the music and lyrics and translating through the body and gaze..

This workshop will address it through lecture, video clip examples, then dance movements and choreographic examples with accompanying songs.
