Amina, Samrah (Dr. Sherifa Zuhur), the Aswan Dancers and special guests will present an evening of music, dance and costuming in a historical way. They will take you to another time and place.

Egypt from the turn of the 20th century was alive and vibrant with the music and dance of the awalim and the ghawazi. Join us in an evening recreating the salat of Mohammad Ali Street, the stages of Azbikeya Park, Opera Square and Emad el Din Streets, and the silver screen of the golden era of Egypt. Music by found recordings from the early 20th century and live music by the Pasha Band will transport you to this exciting place in dance history.
